slavin, randy (he/him)

Randy Scott Slavin is an award-winning director, photographer and aerial cinematographer and is the founder of the New York City Drone Film Festival.  He is a drone expert who is regularly featured on television and in publications around the world. As a director, he is known for his use of cutting edge camera technology to further the impact of storytelling.

Slavin has directed work for brands including Porsche, Post Malone, BMW, Peleton, American Express, AT&T, Bank of America, Island/Def Jam Records for which he has received multiple awards.  As a surrealist photographer, his work can regularly be found in the pages of Time Magazine, Gizmodo, Mashable, The Washington Post, Fast Company Design and more.

In 2014 Slavin founded the New York City Drone Film Festival, the world's first event exclusively dedicated to celebrating the art of drone cinematography. It has experienced rapid growth since its inception, counting companies like SAMSUNG, RED, GE, NBC News, Adobe and DJI as headline sponsors.  The NYCDFF includes a dynamic slate of interactive panels and a "Day of Drones" hosted at the Liberty Science Center and hosts thousands of attendees over festival weekend and hundreds of millions millions of media impressions worldwide. In early 2020 NYCDFF was acquired by drone film platform AIRVUZ.

slavin, julie (she/her)

Julie Potash Slavin aka "Hesta Prynn" is the go-to DJ, talent curator, and event programmer for a blue-chip client list with an emphasis on all things tech and female focused. Her work with brands like Spotify, Google, Twitter, AT&T, Amazon, Facebook and Morgan Stanley has made her a regular presence at global leadership summits. She is an on-air host on Sirius XM Radio, and has been featured in numerous fashion campaigns and television commercials, including the Twitter ad that ran during the Oscars which AdAge called “a nod to #TimesUp and #MeToo.” Julie currently acts as musical director for a number of companies and retail spaces and produces live events and television programs and has been working with celebrity talent for over a decade. She can regularly be seen in the pages of Adweek, Campaign Magazine, NY Times and Page Six.

She is known for her encyclopedic knowledge of musical genres, her ability to anticipate a project’s needs and her career of “firsts”, breaking down barriers and existing in spaces traditionally reserved for men.
